Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the sport of Ninja and why is USA Ninja Challenge different?
- The sport of Ninja is a very fast growing sport that includes components of Gymnastics, Track & Field, Conditioning and Climbing combined with advanced obstacles and other movements. It is one of the best cross-fit workouts a kid can get because its very fun and only uses body weight but teaches perseverance, problem solving, mental & physical strength among many other foundational components.
- At USA Ninja Challenge Brookfield, we love the sport of Ninja, and Ninja is all we do. Along with our highly trained staff, we use an advanced curriculum and Olympic level equipment to teach and coach the sport of Ninja in small focused class sizes. Within our program we don't do open gyms but rather we focus on the individual development of each and every Ninja no matter their background and skill level.
What kind of programs/events do you offer?
- Ninja Classes
- Our classes work on a monthly rolling basis, meaning you can enroll your child at any point throughout the year. Each enrollment gets the child 4 classes per month if enrolled with 4 class days left in the month. If the enrollment begins mid month, we will prorate the tuition amount.
- Birthday Parties
- Seasonal and holiday Camps
Is a membership or contract required for classes? How much do classes cost?
- USA Ninja Challenge Brookfield does not have contracts or a membership for classes. Our classes are on a month to month payment basis with recurring or 3rd party billing options.
- What is the month to month cost breakdown:
- 50 minute class - $99 / month + tax
- 60 minute class - $109 / month + tax
- In addition to the monthly class tuition there is an annual registration fee of $40/child +tax.
- With our program we also do prorate monthly tuition costs if enrollment begins part way through the month.
What to wear & bring to class?
- USA Ninja Challenge has established dress codes for students to ensure the safety of our students and coaches. Students should be dressed appropriately for the activity in which they participate. Dress codes will be enforced. If a participant wears clothing that is not suitable for this activity, they will be asked to change or make adjustments before entering the gym.
- All Ninjas should wear and bring:
- Short sleeve T-shirt or tank
- Shorts (long pants/leggings are acceptable as long as they are tight fitting)
- Long hair must be put up with hair ties, scrunchies or clips.
- Do not use bobby pins, as they have been known to cause injuries to the head, if fallen upon.
- Bring a water bottle! A water fountain fill station is located on the first floor. Water only please.
- The following apparel / items are not allowed in the gym (okay in the lobby):
- Necklaces, dangling earrings, bracelets, belts, watches, fit bits, etc.
- Long sleeves, loose pants, hoodies/sweat shirts, dresses and other loose clothing.
- Gloves, grips or hand wear of any type.
If you have a question about whether or not a particular piece of apparel is acceptable, please ask before sending your child to class.
Can I drop off my child for class or do I need to stay and watch the class?
- Yes, parents can drop off children in the lobby before class and are free to leave once our staff checks the child in for class. Your child should arrive 5-10 minutes before his/her scheduled class time. If dropping off, please pick up your child on time. Make sure that your child knows to wait for you inside the building. Please inform us if you will be late to pick up your child. During peak hours our parking lot is crowded, so please drive slowly and carefully.
Do the instructors use tablets in class?
- You may observe our instructors using tablets in the gym while coaching. These are used to take roll, organize class groups, and assess skills during class. These tablets interact with the screens that you see in the gym and viewing area to display skill achievements for the ninjas during their class times.
